Big thanks to the Rotarian volunteers who showed up at Our Lady of Angels, Burlingame at 9:30 AM to assemble backpacks for our veterans, and finished by 10 AM!! Another thank you goes to Eagle Scout Mathew, who had everything lined up to make it easy. The Backpacks were filled with blankets, flashlights and batteries, gloves, hats, and food. The finished backpacks will be distributed to the VA Hospital and County Human Services for those homeless veterans in our community. The organizers, Sheryl Young and Stan Moore stated, "It was a joy to have a small part in this!"
