Physician Organizations in the Bay Area

Bob Hortop is well known to our Club, having been a member for over twenty years.  He served as an executive with the Sutter Health System for most of that time with a wide variety of responsibilities. After retiring from Sutter in 2013 he was recruited by the Mills Peninsula Medical Group to be their Executive Director. He continues in that role today.

Bob is going to discuss physician organizations in the Bay Area, why physicians choose to join certain organizations, and how insurance companies contract with physicians to create their networks.
