President Joe called our meeting to order at 12:15 or so.
Pledge of Allegiance: ?? then led us in the pledge to our flag.
Invocation: Marilyn Orr gave a tribute to Women’s History Month which falls each year in March. After a bit of a history lesson on the holiday, she gave special recognition to the Rotary Club of Duarte who would not accept Rotary International’s ban on women in Rotary pursuing it all the way to the Supreme Court who struck down the RI ruling in 1987 clearing the way for our membership in and service to Rotary.

Newscast+: Our intrepid newscasters have returned so they were again part of the meeting. Fritz Brauner asked fellow newscaster Jennifer Pence to come to the podium. Jennifer’s task was to interview fellow Rotarian Mark Lucchesi about his exploits in the grocery business. Mark joined us remotely from Southern California where he was babysitting for his grandchildren. Mark had a number of humorous tales of practical jokes he had pulled over his long career. He answered questions about the highs and the lows of his many years in grocery retail. To hear the full interview, watch the recording of the meeting. The link is at the bottom.
Program: Emily Matthews introduced our very accomplished speaker, Kin Wong who talked to us about the benefits of ballroom dance. See related links below.
