For those of you who were NOT in attendance for the Debunking of President Doug Person, we will give some brief highlights of what you missed.

Dennis Zell had been selected to deliver the Invocation. Before he began, Rabbi Jay Miller assured him that God had “spoken” to him and Dennis had divine dispensation for whatever he might deliver in his prayer. As usual, Dennis did not disappoint.

Visitors:  Doug then called for the introduction of visiting Rotarians. We welcomed Frank Yoke, President of San Francisco #2 and Chas Filipski from Calgary, Canada. Susan Baker then introduced Sophie Matthews, Emily Matthews’ daughter, who is interning at the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce.

President Doug showed some photographs from the Rotary District 5150 delegation at the San Francisco Pride Parade.

Susan Baker again took the mic to announce the upcoming annual Burlingame on the Avenue. Marilyn Orr passed around a signup sheet for shifts at the wine and beer booths. Remember, all tips gathered at the event go to our scholarship fund so please volunteer.

With the conclusion of the announcements, it was time to move on to the Main Event!

Past President Fritz Brauner came to the podium to present the now traditional slide show. Refer to the Zoom recording for his comments and humorous? explanations of the photographs. Photographs of Doug’s life were plentiful. Below is a link to more pictures than there was time to present.

President Doug then delivered a heartfelt salute to his year as president, thanking all who made it a successful term. It may be a tough act to follow, Jerry.
