We are dark on Wednesday, May 29th as this week is Memorial Day Week and the 5th Wednesday of the month. Our next lunch meeting will be on Wednesday, June 5th at 12:15pm at Poplar Creek. Our speaker will be our own Emily Matthews who will speak about Team River Runner and the experiences of disabled racers. |
Let’s Review What Happened Last Week: On Sunday, May 19 we held our spring fundraiser, Bistro Burlingame, at the Doubletree Hotel. The event was a major success as we were able to fill up the room with Burlingame Rotarians and numerous guests and friends. We were serenaded by musicians from from Burlingame High School. Also, the four Burlingame High students taking part on our summer exchange to Japan joined us. Our Wednesday, we had a small but fun social hour at the brand new Poplar Creek Grill. Upcoming Meetings And Events: May 29 - Dark for Memorial Day Week and 5th Wednesday of the month. June 5 - Lunch Meeting at Poplar Creek at 12:15pm. Our future president Emily Matthews will speak about Team River Runner and the experiences of disabled racers. June 12 - Lunch Meeting at Poplar Creek at 12:15pm. Kate Comfort Harr from HIPP Housing will speak on the housing crisis locally and in the Bay Area. June 19 - Debunking at Poplar Creek at 12:15pm. |
