Our next meeting is a social evening at 5:00pm at Steelhead Brewery on August 22 in the pool room. Join us for beer, wine, cocktails and fun. No charge to attend but you buy your own drinks. If you decide to stay a while, later in the evening from 6:00pm to 9:00pm Steelhead is having live music on their patio with happy hour prices on beer and all you can eat brats.
After this meeting, we will be dark until our September 12th lunch meeting at Poplar Creek. This is due to August having a 5th Wednesday (always dark) and the first week of September being a holiday week (Labor Day).
Let’s Review What Happened Last Week:
Last week our meeting began with an exchange of Rotary flags with Avinash (AP) Ghandi of the Delhi Panchshila Park (India) Rotary club. Our speaker was Kevin Gardiner, the Community Development Manager for the City of Burlingame. He gave us the scoop about Facebook leasing the whole Burlingame Point project (on the old drive-in site) currently under construction.
This past weekend Burlingame Rotary volunteers helped out at the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce's annual Burlingame on the Avenue Festival. As you can see from the pictures below, our new friend from Delhi, AP, got in the act and helped out.

September 19th - 12:15pm at Poplar Creek. Our speaker will be Lauren Barranti who will speak on home medical equipment.
September 26th - Social Evening at location TBD.
