Don't forget our Comedy Night Out on Sunday, March 31st at Cobb's Comedy Club. Austin Carr (Cheri Carr's famous son) will be performing. The bus will leave around 5 PM from the parking lot of Morrison Travel (800 Airport Boulevard) - so you don't have to drive (Cheri will confirm time with all those who sign up). Tickets are $20 and there is a 2 drink minimum. Those who want can have dinner first....

Let’s Review What Happened Last Week:
Last Wednesday Wesley Thompson of Filoli provided us an update on the visiting opportunities and wonderful activities taking place at this Peninsula treasure. John Delaney also brought along and introduced Chris Ramirez for his first "guest of the club" visit. Cheryl Fama entertained us with another topical and funny newscast.
Finally, Pierre Bouquet provided us a wonderful tribute to his wife Joyce who passed away last Sunday.
Comedy Night Out
Burlingame Rotary will be hosting a special comedy night out on Sunday, March 31. We will meet around 5:00pm (Cheri Carr will confirm time with you when you sign up) at the parking lot of 800 North Airport Road (the offices of Morrison Travel) and we will be taken to Cobb's Comedy Club where Cheri's famous son Austin Carr will perform. Rebuilding Together/Rebuilding Together Peninsula/Gatepath Initiative - Saturday, April 27:
Burlingame Rotary will be underwriting and taking the lead on a project at the Gatepath facility on Stanton Road that will be completed on National Rebuilding Day - Saturday, April 27th. National Rebuilding Day, formerly known as Christmas in April, is a program coordinated by Rebuilding Together (www.rebuildingtogether.org) through its affiliate Rebuilding Together Peninsula (www.rebuildingtogetherpeninsula.org) where numerous projects are completed throughout the country.
Our project will be to paint 8 rooms in the Gatepath facility on Stanton Road and other refinishing activities. We will be underwriting the cost of the materials. Additionally, we will be organizing and providing the people to complete the project. To complete this project it will take a team of at least 50 people. Volunteers will gather at 8 AM, enjoy a continental breakfast, get a 'collector's item' commemorative T-Shirt and at around 9 AM, be assigned to a work team and get instructions. Lunch is provided and all are invited to a thank you BBQ at Oracle Center 4:30PM. Burlingame Rotary will be recruiting members to that team from our club, spouses, friends, colleagues from your workplace and students from local schools.
Our Community Service chairs, Cheryl Fama and Sheryl Young will be coordinating our efforts and the recruiting of team members. Club members should have received an email invitation to participate.
