Last Wednesday Megan Sebay from Mosquito Abatement District provided us information regarding the deadliest animal on earth - the mosquito. She told us about the different vector control activities of the district.
Gary Beswick made his second 'guest of the club" visit with his colleague Past President Mike Horwitz. Tatyana Dorokhova made her first "guest of the club" visit with an introduction from Lina Golodriga.

Comedy Night Out
Burlingame Rotary will be hosting a special comedy night out on Sunday, March 31. We will meet in the early evening at the parking lot of 800 North Airport Road (the offices of Morrison Travel) and we will be taken to Cobb's Comedy Club. Tickets are $20 per person. Rebuilding Together/Rebuilding Together Peninsula/Gatepath Initiative - Saturday, April 27:
Burlingame Rotary will be underwriting and taking the lead on a project at the Gatepath facility on Stanton Road that will be completed on National Rebuilding Day - Saturday, April 27th. National Rebuilding Day, formerly known as Christmas in April, is a program coordinated by Rebuilding Together (www.rebuildingtogether.org) through its affiliate Rebuilding Together Peninsula (www.rebuildingtogetherpeninsula.org) where numerous projects are completed throughout the country.
Our project will be to paint 8 rooms in the Gatepath facility on Stanton Road and build planters for the to surround the facility. We will be underwriting the cost of the materials. Additionally, we will be organizing and providing the people to complete the project. To complete this project it will take a team of at least 50 people. Burlingame Rotary will be recruiting members to that team from our club, spouses, friends, colleagues from your workplace and students from local schools. Our Community Service chairs, Cheryl Fama and Sheryl Young will be coordinating our efforts and the recruiting of team members.
For now, we ask that you save the date, Saturday April 27 and ask your spouses, friends and colleagues if they would like to join us for a day of hands-on community service.
Save the Date - Burlingame Bistro Fundraiser - Sunday, May 19
The date has been set and details are being finalized for our Burlingame Bistro fundraiser. The Bistro will be held on Sunday, May 19th at the Doubletree San Francisco Airport Hotel. Tickets are $100 per person and you can purchase your tickets now by clicking here.
