Our next meeting is our annual Holiday Luncheon on Wednesday, December 12th at 11:30am at Sapore Italiano  (1447 Burlingame Avenue).  Everyone is encouraged to attend and bring a guest (even if you have not already RSVPed).
We will be dark December 19, December 26 and January 2 for the holidays.  Our next regular lunch meeting will be Wednesday, January 9 at 12:15pm at Poplar Creek.
Let’s Review What Happened Last Week:
Last week our meeting began with Bill Tiedeman presenting Paul Nieberding and Mike Heffernan their latest Paul Harris awards. Congratulations to Paul and Mike, and thanks for supporting the Rotary Foundation.
Future Burlingame Police Chief Mike Matteucci made a presentation on crime in Burlingame.  Bottom line, crime in Burlingame is at low levels and has been declining.
Holiday Lunch:
Our annual Holiday lunch will be held on Wednesday, December 12th at 11:30am at Sapore Italiano Restaurant (1447 Burlingame Avenue).  The cost is $40 per person.  We are encouraging all to invite and bring guests.  Even if you have not RSVPed, please feel come to the lunch.
For those not aware, our Julius Aires is still in rehab (as he has been for the last 3 months).  He will be in rehab through the holiday season.  Julius remains a loyal Burlingame Rotary member.  Since the beginning of November, he has been participating in our meetings via a telephone hook-up.  For those who are able and inclined, you can visit Julius at the Jewish Home at 302 Silver Avenue in San Francisco 94112 (in an easy to get to location not far from the intersection of highways 280 and 101) or send him a card at that address.  You can also call Julius at 650.245.4872.
