Meeting Reminders: First, Second and Third Wednesday of each month is a Lunch Meeting.

Fourth Wednesday of the month is either an evening Happy Hour/Social Event or a Community Service Activity.

Fifth Wednesday of the month - if there is one there is NO meeting.

October 17 Recap

Our next meeting is a community service meeting on Wednesday, October 24th at Sonrisas (formerly Apple Tree) Dental from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We will meet at Sonrisas' office (430 N. El Camino, San Mateo), tour the facility, prepare goody bags for clients and have some refreshments.

We will be dark on October 31st (5th Wednesday of the month and Halloween).

On November 1st 37 North Restaurant (Doubletree Airport Hotel) will host a Five Course Dinner and Wine Tasting benefiting Burlingame Rotary. Call 650-373-2237 to make reservations. Cost is $125 per person.

Let’s Review What Happened Last Week:

Last week our District 5150 governor, Jayne Hulbert, conducted a town hall session with our membership. She addressed how Rotary is dealing with the challenges facing our organization including informing us about new membership classifications available to clubs.

Upcoming Meetings And Events:

October 24 - Community Service meeting at Sonrisas (formerly Apple Tree) Dental Health (430 N. El Camino San Mateo) from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We will assembly "tooth fairy" goody bags for Sonrisas Dental, receive a tour of the facility and enjoy refreshments. See picture below from a previous community service event at the facility.

October 31 - Fifth Wednesday (Dark)

November 1 - Five Course Dinner and Wine Tasting at 37 North Restaurant (Doubletree Airport Hotel) benefiting Burlingame Rotary. Call 650-373-2237 to make reservations. Cost $125 per person.

November 7 - Lunch Meeting at Poplar Creek at 12:15pm. Our speaker will be our own Sarah Haas.

November 13 - Salon Meeting at 6:00pm where Dave Upchurch will lead a discussion on the final days of Theranos.

November 14 - Lunch Meeting at Poplar Creek at 12:15pm. Our speakers will be our three clergy members (Michael Mahoney, Jay Miller, Paul Watermulder) with their annual Thanksgiving presentation.

November 15 - Annual Fun Fairy Party at 6:00pm hosted by Suzanne Juptner, 438 Occidental Avenue, San Mateo

November 21 (Dark) - Thanksgiving

November 28 - Social/Happy Hour meeting at Steelhead Brewery at 5:00pm
